Update: First off, the support we received since posting our initial review has been phenomenal. I wish every amazon seller was as courteous and thorough as these guys.Our updated EY-009P device seamlessly integrated into our POS system, just like the original unit we bought. We charged it up, paired it via Bluetooth, and were able to start scanning immediately.With the expanded capabilities, in particular the ability to read QR codes, we've been able to improve our first-time-scan accuracy considerably, which saves time and negates the need for embarrassing apologies that "the system can be tricky" when performing transactions.This is a perfect, pocket-sized scanner that can work in any application that I can think of. I believe anyone that purchases one of these upgraded units will be challenged to find any flaws with it or have any reason to complain. If you need a small scanner for your business, project, or enterprise, give this one a try!We have not had any trouble with this reader working with barcodes that are printed on any of the materials we have tested so far. However, we publish barcodes in emails and in online marketing, and this little reader will not work with any screen device we've tried (android phone, iPhone, tablets of various types (android and iOS). No screen, with or without a screen protector) seems to work. For that reason, we give it just 3 stars. If you need to use this ONLY with printed barcodes, it's been great for us and will probably work fine for you too.

Been using this for a few weeks, I very much love it. The sleek design and the fact that it just works immediately upon plugging it in. Absolutely amazing. I'll be able to have more information once I use it at the convention I'm vending at but I have to say that this is better than a standard barcode scanner. Easy to use and works absolutely flawlessly. Distance is great too, I was able to scan from a different room. Probably going to buy another one. I haven't tested the Bluetooth yet because USB is just a small dongle that I've just used that. All in all - this was worth every single penny. At least this far. I'll update more in a few weeks.

This scanner is the best, I use it to scan a majority of my items ranging from books to movies. The ease of connecting it via Bluetooth is a game changer as it gets rid of the need for wires. It makes the design even better, the only wire I need is when it is charging and it’s only needs to charge once a month or so. All this for a great cheap price, I’m definitely getting my moneys worth. Not to mentions when I had to contact customer service, there were quick with attending to me and resolving my issue.

I bought this to connect to a work laptop when training. It works. It’s cute, small. Portable and works for single barcodes. Sometimes it doesn’t scan as quickly as a normal scanner, but it does the job.

It scans immidiatly, no lag whatsoever!It sets itself up if your using a windows based laptop, wifi dongle works great,I use mine at 50 ft or so with no problems, Scans at any angle, I scan my barcodes at about 2ft away, just scan the wiresess scanbar that is in the booklet that comes with it & it is ready for wireless operation! I charge it at the end of the day, no problems, My work has one for 5 years , no problems, still works great,super accurate! Weighs nothing, liter than a car keyfob. Worth every penny

TWO THUMBS DOWN: I purchased this wireless scanner with the intentions to replace my old wired scanner. I have numerous type of barcodes I use for my inventory and the wired one worked seamlessly. Purchased this item for the freedom to wirelessly scan my inventory before posting my items and save time. The problem is first, it does not work with my POS device and secondly, when I need to scan a different type of barcode which is time consuming. First locate the small booklet that was included, then change the settings for the barcode I need (there are steps the need to be followed). This may work well for a beginner, however I have generated different levels of barcodes over the years using different type of barcode. I need to rescan the barcodes from the included settings sheet (you can't lose this or you will really be out of luck). Hence the process is not a seamless and one would think with this new technology. It may be great for someone starting out (generating barcodes), however if you have over thirty different types of code, you are in for a thill trying to keep up with and resetting the barcode types. I finally did get it to work with my MAC however, as mentioned earlier it scan one type of barcode at a time before having to reset. Will make a decision prior the close of return window.

Very good connectivity to your phone, allowing me to be on the go and scan UPCs. It's small and easy to put in my pocket to carry around everywhere.

Excellent product that works as expected right out of the box. I plan to buy more of these for the rest of our machines.
