Naval & Marine Aviator Gold Metal Auto Emblem

Use a magnetic backing instead of the adhesive so you can move it around and test the best look (below).Purchased these wings instead of a window sticker. These wings have are shiny gold, just like regular naval aviator wings, and are 3-dimensional. So far--after 1 week and a 2,000 mile drive--they look great on the back of our Telluride. Relatively inexpensive, and using the magnetic mounting (below) there is no harm in trying them out.Instead of mounting the wings directly on the car, we mounted them on a wide magnetic strip (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088BSMS1H?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details), cut around the wings, and then put the magnet/wings on our car. Saves potential adhesive damage to the car and allowed us to move the wings around the back end of the vehicle to get the best look. You can also move it around between car washes to reduce any paint fading.Did the same for the traditional USMC sticker. Has worked great for 3+ years.

These are well made, very thick and larger than I expected. I bought magnet bars like someone recommended and the wings are on my truck. I’m worried the adhesive won’t hold up that is sticking it to the magnet, so I might add a few drops of super glue….

Very high quality. Adhesive works great... I will be ordering another for a new car. FYI if you ever have to take this emblem off your car, double wrap dental floss around your hands and slide it behind the emblem and saw away. Works like magic... then use some Goo Be Gone to get rid of the remaining adhesive.

I am a retired Marine (Naval) Aviator (No.T-11179, designated 5 APR 1968). My hope was that this would be a quality item that would look good on the rear window of my truck while being a correct reproduction faithful to the details of The Navy Wings of Gold. It is perfect on both counts. Its gold glistens brightly and I've been told it can be identified from several car lengths away. If you want an item LIKE this you should get this exact one.ONE CAVEAT: Make sure you put it EXACTLY where you want it the FIRST time because I doubt you will be able to get it off to try again. It sticks like a tick on a hound...

The one I received is a nicely detailed, bright cold, quality metal emblem. Buying another for a buddy of mine, these are much nicer than a sticker. Mince attached very well to my truck with the adhesive back that comes with it.
