Hours of fun
Not sure who had more fun - the parent or the child! Bought for my son who is autistic and loves cogs & wheels. We had a lovely time together building then I left him to play with the finished product. Lots of designs included or you can freestyle. Sturdy pieces. I really like Learning Resources products.

Good quality STEM-based gears set
I have got Learning Resources sets in the past and have always been happy with their quality and this one is no exception. They do tend to be a little pricier than other similar toys, and this set is currently retailing for around £30 (at the time of this Amazon Vine review) so is not exactly inexpensive and is a considered present rather than a small gift or stocking filler. However, it has the bonus of being both educational and fun.It is a STEM toy and given that you are designing and building 'Treadmobiles' from the 108 pieces in the box then it will certainly encourage a child to develop STEM skills, namely critical thinking and early engineering. The set has clear instructions and projects to do but the true potential of this set lies in the fact that you can build your own combination using the 108 pieces -- your child can create a vehicle that can flip, roll, twist, turn and move.Aimed at 5 years, this would make a good present for a primary school age child, and ideal if they already have other Gears sets as it's completely compatible. I am pleased with this product and I am happy to recommend.

A highly customizable and fun learning toy.
It's a common thing to find in the play area of science museums, which tells you that it's very durable and stands up to hard play.. A small number of shapes can make so many different things. However, I feel like this Treadmobiles set is not quite enough pieces to make a lot with. I think the Treadmobiles set is good combined with another set of Gears! or good to get and add in if you already have some. But, by itself, it may be enough pieces to tease but not to build lots. It's also very versatile

Terrific toy for creativity and imagination
Thank This product was well packaged. It was easy to assemble for me and my son and didn't take long at all.Really good quality, sturdy and robust for little hands, it doesn’t seem to be easy to break them.My son loves building so this is perfect for him. He specially likes this set the best because of its versatility, Lots of imagination can be used for this fun set, the moveable pieces make for imaginative play. It keeps him amused and occupied, whilst waiting for the sun to return.

Not great
I thought that all the gears, after assembling the vehicle, would spin driven by the wheels or the chain, but none of that. My son was very dissapointed. Additionally, somehow the elements of the chain are not good - the plastic is quite brittle, they are easy to break.
