Okay, I don't know whose bright idea it was to provide picture frames without any kind of perspex/glass in the front to protect the artwork in the frame, but that's what this company has done. What a ridiculous design flaw. Avoid this frame at all costs.

As others have said, there's a plastic film you have to remove on both sides of the plastic shield. I don't think it's plexiglass, it's just a plastic square. This is fine! It doesn't produce the glare like glass does and even if I kept the film on it seemed clear enough. The frame is thick and stiff, and there's quality hardware installed. It's perfect, I'm impressed with this inexpensive item.

This is the best deal in town if you understand what you are paying for. Its price is unbeatable. It’s totally functional and well designed for easy hanging. It comes very well packaged and protected (ignore complaints about scratches or damage). However, you need to understand two things (not shortcomings but realistic expectations): (1) it’s very lightweight and feels like plastic, but looks appealing. (2) It has plexiglass, not real glass. If you need to show off your frame, this is not for you. If you want to present a photo of special meaning in a budget DIY way, this would be a perfect choice.

Thought these were a great deal...until they were delivered. The frame itself seems nice, but the clear front of frame is flimsy plastic, which wouldn't have even been an issue, except when I peeled the film off the plastic and the print was ON the film AND the plastic front of the frame. Didn't think my pics would look great with print across our faces, so I sent them back and got a replacement thinking maybe it was a bad batch. Replacement just came, same issue. Just an annoyance. I'll just buy frames in person. 2 stars because the frame itself is rather nice for the price.

I love these! I see all these other reviews from morons who couldn't be bothered to read that there was a protective film on the plexiglass! Peeled off easily and it is crystal clear! Much lighter than glass and doesn't break!
