Hopefully this review won't be unposted in two months, because in two months, this same candy box will be for a 44th birthday.I bought this as a birthday present for myself. It sounded too unique and too fun to pass off, and I didn't think my health conscious family would get me a box of candy for my 43rd birthday. I got the larger sized box, of course, because I am greedy. For only $10 more you get more than twice the amount of candy. Hell yeah! The variety of candy crammed in this box was crazy good. I tried edible wax lips for the first time, and they actually weren't half bad. I LOVED The old style hot atomic fireballs. I remember those from my childhood in the 1980s. I'd tried modern day versions of this candy and they were really wussy. I also really loved the hot Red Hots, The lemon drops, the black licorice flavored hard candy, and the peanut butter toasted coconut candy. That would be awesome if this company sold boxes of candy full of just one type. I would love to have a big box of just the peanut butter toasted coconut candy, or hot atomic fireballs. Quite a lot of the candy, I was surprised to discover, is candy that still exists today, like Skittles and Starburst and Airheads. But that didn't take away from the uniquenessOf this candy box. Quite a bit of this candy was also in generous package sizes. I was nice to revisit Pop Rocks, Fun Dip, and Gobstoppers too, which were candies I'd forgotten about.Despite how much I loved this, there were a few negatives. Some of the little individually wrapped pieces had a funny smelling sticky substance on them that didn't smell like melted candy. I'm hoping it was just a chemical reaction from the candies' processed sugars and artificial ingredients reacting with the plastics and synthetic dyes that make up the rappers, after The candy had been sitting in the warehouse for a while. Some of the candies seemed a little old, or they were just a little melted and stuck together. I was thrilled to revisit Candy cigarettes, which I hadn't had since I was three. But disappointingly, the cigarettes were stale and tasted more like the cardboard box they came in.The negatives according to my personal taste are, I wasn't wild about the bubble gums, because they lost their flavor after a minute or so. The Big League gum was kind of weird and yucky tasting, although I am glad to finally have tried it after 36 years. I remember seeing it on a commercial when I was around six or seven and wanting to try it, because I thought the shredded bubble gum looked cool. I also wasn't crazy about the Ring Pop. The flavor of the candy itself was yummy, but sucking on it was kind of gross and unsanitary. The plastic setting is awkwardly big compared to the candy Jewel, and it's hard to not get it covered in sticky candy slobber which eventually gets onto your hand.Criticisms aside, nothing is perfect, but this candy box was close enough to perfect to get a five star rating. The variety was just amazing. The types of candy eyed pensioned in this review are just a small fraction of what was in the box. It was fun to go back to old nostalgic treats, and try candy I'd never heard of. I would definitely buy candy from this company again, and I'd definitely recommend these types of boxes for gifts for those who have a love for naughty junk food and time travel.

This was a nice set of candy. Fun and memorable and allowed for some nostalgia for a nice gift. It took awhile to get through it but it was a fun set. A bit pricey for the candy but it was still worth it.

Bought this fun box for my husband's birthday. It was a hit. All of the candy was fresh. It had everything in the photo and more. This was a fun idea.

I got this for my 17 year old grandson! It was the perfect BD treat!!! I will buy it for my other grandkids BD.
