Q: I purchased this game; 3 of us have tried to read the directions and cant figure it out?? Can you give a brief description to help us play the game??

The instructions were challenging! 3 people gave up on them before we decided to take it step by step and play it out. I 2nd the YouTube suggestion, that’s how we learn to play most new games we get, but basically: Arrange 12 cards facedown (for every player) in 4 rows of 3. Each player starts by flipping 2 of their cards face up. All other cards are in a draw pile (Flip 1 up for a discard pile, too). The goal is to have the lowest total points at the end of the round, Each player takes a turn...they can either draw from the draw pile or discard pile. If they draw from the discard pile, they must replace it with one of the 12 cards in front of them...either facedown or faceup cards. If they draw from the draw pile, after seeing the card they must decide if they want to keep it or discard it, depending on how high or low the card is (for example, if you have a 12 showing in front of you, and you draw a 2, you definitely want to keep the 2 and would probably replace the 12 you have showing instead of risking an unknown face down card). If you do not keep the card, you discard it but then flip up one of your face down cards. You keep going around the table trying to have the lowest number of points (card value) at the end. Once a person flips over their last facedown card, then everyone else gets 1 more turn and the round is over. 1 fun quirk of the game, if you have the same card in a column of 3 (three 12s in the same column, for example) then you discard the entire column (all three 12s) and those points no longer count against you. We love this game but the instructions were hard to follow at first. Good luck!

Q: Can you play this game with just 2 players or is it more difficult with 2?

Yes, you can play with 2 players and it is not more difficult. We do it all the time. My husband and I love this game and our 5 grandchildren love it as well. It is an easy game to teach them and it helps them learn strategic thinking. It's nice because we can help them if they need it since we can see their cards. Ages 4-8

Q: do you shuffle cards in between each hand or wait until cards run out?

We tend to shuffle the used cards after each hand, but I think you could also just wait until the cards run out.

Q: Can i replace a card with the same card i pulled from the deck? for example, if i pull a 7 can i replace a 7 i already have showing?

Yes. If you pull a card you have several options. 1. Throw it back in the discard pile ( you must then turn over one of your unturned cards) 2. Keep it and substitute it with a visible card (which must then be discarded) or 3. Keep it and substitute it with a card that is not showing ( which then must be discarded sight unseen to the discard pile). Have fun.

Great game, easy to learn and play

Brilliant game. Easy to learn and very addictive! My 12 and 9 year old daughters both love it too. Great to take on holiday.

Fab game!

Such an addictive game. So simple, everyone in the family can play (our 6 year old regularly thrashes us, grandparents and friends alike!) and it's our go to game for after dinner or on holidays. Everyone we've introduced the game to has either gone and bought their own or asked for it as a gift later on. We've bought so many sets for other people and they've gone on to do the same for their friends too. Doesn't take much explanation before starting to play and the elements of luck and chance mixed with some tactics make it flow nicely so you can play as quickly or slowly as you want, to fill whatever time you have. So much fun too. A bit like Uno mixed with Solitaire. Would definitely recommend.

Great game to play with friends

Bought this as a friend had it, a little pricey I thought but I’ve certainly had my monies worth. It’s a simple game in principle but can get strategic when you don’t want to give your cards away to help the player after you.The rules are simple, each card is numbered -2 - 12. 12 cards each laid face down in a grid, you select one card from the draw pile and either flip over an unturned card from the grid and discard that one you picked up or risk swapping that one with an unknown card in your grid - the aim is to get the lowest sum from your cards.A good quality card game, which we take on camping trips, it’s small enough to fit in my card game bag (yes I have one, everyone should), it’s easier to carry about.Would definitely recommend this game to other avid card game lovers.

Great game, card quality dodgy

This is a really fun game and we all love to play it in my family. Quick as well, each person’s turn takes only a few seconds. Well… except the disappointing part is the poor material quality of the cards. This makes picking up the cards difficult and bending said cards a breeze.
