Very disappointed
I ordered this with high expectations! I received it in a timely manner. I charged it as per the instructions and used it once - curled hair really nicely but didn’t hold charge and quickly turned off. It wouldn’t charge again despite trying repeatedly ( using different outlet sockets). I had to return and got a refund. This would have been perfect for my long commute! Please review issues!

Do not buy. Died after 2 uses
This hair curler worked on 2 charges (charge-use, recharge-use). Then it simply died. Will no longer charge, or turn on. When it did turn on, it did not get hot enough to curl hair. Don’t waste your money!

This is a weird product!
This item is a waste of money. It doesn’t heat up enough. There is no way to get enough hair into the tiny opening.

Cordless & Portable - Good for Thin Hair
Definitely a surprise when I opened the box to find that this Prizm Cordless Curling Wand/Straightener does not have a barrel that opens up, and at first I was just confused, but…After reading the included operator’s manual, I realized you just add small sections of your hair in at a time, which if you have thin hair, and that curls easily, this portable iron will work pretty well for you.The plates do get plenty hot enough to straighten my thin hair, but I’m still practicing on trying to get those pretty curls like I do from a regular curling iron or an open-barrel flat iron.I do love the portability aspect of this iron; being able to just throw this in my purse and touch-up whenever needed is great, but the battery does not last too long; so just a warning, for those whom need an iron to last longer than 20-25 minutes to style their hair.Overall, I’m really glad I got this; I use it often, mainly in my car for those quick touch-ups, and it will be awesome to have on hand during those hot & humid summer days that are approaching, when my hair frizzes up as soon as I step outside.

Nice for travel or on-the-go touchups. Wish it ran longer on a charge!
Overall, this is a very nice straightener/curling iron. I like the sleek design and feels like a quality product. A USB cable for charging, 2 hairclips, a very thin storage bag, and a protective glove are included - nice touches! They also include a little card that is supposed to help you gauge how much hair to put in at one time, but who has time for that? I opted more for the "figure it out" method. It's not that hard. The description says it takes 2 hours to charge and that seems pretty accurate. The green battery light stops flashing when it is charged. There's a safety switch on the bottom to keep from accidentally turning the device on, which is GREAT to have for storage or travel. There are 3 temperature settings. My hair doesn't hold a curl for very long so I have opted for the highest temp, which claims to be 410 degrees. I'm taking their word for it.To use it, instead of opening the iron like a clamshell, you slide sections of your hair between the plates and slowly slide your hair through. To add a curl, you can wrap your hair around the barrel and slowly slide the hair through the iron. I've never used a curling iron like this before, so there's a bit of a learning curve to get the curls right. I don't think you are going to ever get a tight curl with it, but I did get some nice loose curls at the ends and nice smooth hair on the top. I haven't needed the safety glove. The plastic on the barrel gets warm, but not too hot for me to wrap my hair without burning myself. Now the downside: the usable time per charge. I REALLY like the idea of cordless. It's super convenient to not be tied to the wall. I could see this being very useful for on-the-go touchups for special functions. Without a bulky cord, I would like this to be my travel curling iron. The biggest reservation is that it doesn't run very long on a charge. I can get about 1.5 uses on a charge. Maybe when I get the hang of it, I could speed up a little and get 2 full uses on a charge, but there's only so much you can rush and still get a curl that holds. It might also last longer if I wasn't using the highest heat setting. They are honest in the description saying it lasts around 30 minutes, so I knew it going in. I just don't know how practical it is going to be for me to charge this iron in advance for 2 hours and only get one or two uses before it needs to recharge. But, for special events or limited travel use, this will be a handy tool, just not an EVERY DAY curling/straightening iron.
