This is a well made, easy to install stem riser. I have a mountain bike with straight bars and have been looking for an extension. Went to the local bike shop and all they could offer was to buy a bmx handlebar. No thanks. I raised my bar to where I wanted it with adjustment left.

In have a herniated disk in my neck and leaning forward on a road bike was panful this device lifted up the handlebars and bought them closer to me with n o loss of stability. I can ride again without neck pain and did not have to buy a new bike it was a Game changer. it was easy to install just had to readjust the front brake cable

Recently purchased a hybrid bike with threadless stem. I'm taller than the average woman - and it's all in the legs. Couldn't even reach my handlebars once I adjusted the seat properly but luckily this is the perfect replacement and was just as easy to install/readjust as the standard one that came with the bike. No more riding twisted up like a pretzel now! Does not extend much, so if you need more than about two extra inches find a different model.

I used this stem to achieve a lower, more road-like riding position on my Schwinn DSB hybrid bike. That seems to be the opposite of how most people are using these, but shows that you can angle the stem upwards or downwards. I specifically chose this stem beacuse it showed a +- range of angles, but I suspect all similar stems will be able to be set similarly, despite what is silk screened on the stem. This is quite a chunky item at 290g, but that also makes it very durable, with a good thickness of metal around the clamp bolts. The finish is good, lightly textured, and all of the clamp bolts are stainless steel. As a bonus, it even comes with a 5mm spacer and three allen keys.

This made a world of difference in my ridding comfort as I am on a too large of a frame size to accomidate the huge battery pack in the much needed larger triangle that came with a large frame. As such by raising and bringing the bars closer to sit more upright has eliminated the hand numbness that I was having 10 minutes into my hour long commute! I made my own spacer as I ordered to large of a handlebar size I believe there is an adaptor you can buy, I just manufactured my own.

I love to ride my bike but the low handlebar caused a lot pain in my shoulder and back (parting gifts from a career in the Army). This extender was exactly what I needed. The adjustable stem can provide about 3 inches of elevation or more, depending on what you need. Simple and quick to install; only took about 5 minutes to be back on the road.

I like being able to move my handle bar up to a more comfortable position, the one thing I don't like! I asked them for 2 trim ring extentions. I purchased 2 of theses stems they could have sent them to me instead they referred me to a new purchase, I don't think that is good customer service. All the adjustable stems I looked at purchasing had them in the pack when I was deciding on which one to buy. Maybe I should have bought one of those instead.

item arrived promptly and appears new and unblemished. item doesn't unlock and came with no instructions what so ever. loosened all the screws, it's still locked solid in the straight configuration. I dunno, maybe i'll put it in a vice and hit it with my 4 pound tap hammer? the item is cheap enough i don't want to spend the money on shipping to send it back, especially when i suspect there is a decent chance i'd just get another defective component in return. from reading reviews this doesn't seem rare, and i greatly suspect if i sent it back, the company would just re-send this broken one to some other poor schlub which i want no part in. It's a cool looking paper weight though.

Looks like a quality piece . Easi to install perfect height to take pressure off my wrist . No need to change any cables on my New LANKELEISI XT750Plus Electric fat bike . Life is great .
