Love this overalls!
My experience with Carhartt and work overalls is very limited. At 44 years old I haven't put on overalls since my toddler years. I purchased the my first pair in tan to test them out, tried them for one day, and then ordered another pair in charcoal. These overalls are more comfortable than anything else in my closet! During this past year I bought two more pairs which feature different cuts and fabrics yet remain extremely comfortable which increased my total to four pairs.I especially like the canvas fabric. I anticipated that these Carhartt overalls would be rough and stiff like other Carhartt products I've seen. The canvas fabric is very soft but still sturdy and didn't shrink after being washed. The zipped pocket on the bib is now my favorite feature of these overalls. Keeping my items zipped prevents them from spilling out of the pocket during bathroom visits! When they're dirty, I just toss them in with the whites and they come our perfect. My life has been free from manual labor tasks, which I consider the essence of Carhartt. These overalls work well for men with office jobs who need to perform manual labor tasks at home or in other places like church or woodworking shops. These quickly became my go-to clothing choice after work hours and during weekends. Everytime I wear them in public, at least one stranger asks about them.Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed!

A Great Carhartt Customer Experience
First of all what a comfortable set of bib's. No stiffness and great movement. As a noob owner of bib's I neglected to secure my straps and my washing machine ate the buckle end. I contacted Carhartt and unfortunately they did not supply this buckle part (please do Carhartt...thx). The kind customer rep. (Thanks Megan) told me not to worry and shipped me out an exact replacement bib overalls. That was great one on one interaction. This is , for sure, one of the best 90 dollar purchases for a pair of overalls. I got great comfort and service from a company I never used. Keep up this great service Carhartt. I'll see you again for more!

Get one or two sizes larger than normal if you have a belly at all.
Bib overalls are designed for people who don't get wider above their waist, so you gotta take that into consideration when ordering the proper size.If you are a trim, fit guy then order your normal size, but if you are like me and have a few miles on you that have stored up a bit in your belly, then you'll have to adjust accordingly.I am 5'11" and about 240#. Yeah. I could stand to lose a few, but I used to be 285# so I'm working on it. But I do still have a bit of a belly. I normally wear a size 38 in jeans, but since I don't like them tight, I sometimes get a size 40. I tried the Dickies in 40x32, thinking that bibs SHOULD be a bit big all around, but couldn't come close to fastening the side buttons. I thought about sizing up the dickies and trying again, but they were very baggy in the legs and hips. I can't imagine what Dickies thinks a man looks like. It's as if they were designed by aliens who heard about humans and then made some overalls based on what they heard. So I bought these Carhartts in the gravel color, also in 40x32 just to see what the difference was. I was immediately impressed with the difference in quality. The legs and hips fit PERFECT, but the side buttons were still a little tight. I was able to easily button them, but I don't like being hugged all day across my belly. While standing and walking they were fine, but when I sat down at my desk, I had to unbutton the sides in order to be comfortable. I am returning them and I already ordered a 42x32 that should arrive in two days.At first I was turned off by the price of the Carhartt when compared to the Dickies, but after getting my hands on a pair, I am very impressed with the quality, fit and design. I LOVE the pocket on the right leg that perfectly fits my phone very securely.I'm going to buy one pair that fit me now (probably 42x32), and when I lose another 15 or 20 pounds I'll easily fit into the 40x32 Bibs. By that time I'll be in a size 36 jeans, so keep in mind that the bibs need to be just about two sizes bigger than what you normally wear in jeans.I'll update this when I know more.Update:The 42x32 came in today and they fit perfect. I can say now with conviction that you should ignore Amazon and Carhartt and get one or two sizes bigger than your normal size if you have anything more than a flat stomach. If you have a flat stomach then sure, buy your normal size.Another update:I've lost about six pounds since then and the 42x32 still fit great. Once I'm down another ten to fifteen, I'll go to my local Carhartt store and try the buy the 40x32.

Stupid comfortable!
I own three pairs of these. I frequently crawl under cars and do most chores wearing these. Haven't gotten the first hole in them yet. It's been over a year since I made the switch. The only complaints I guess is the top pockets are slightly smaller than the denim causing my big brick phone not to fit. The strap adjuster slides down all the time. I would appreciate more color selections in this cut and fabric type.

NOT MADE LIKE THEY USED TO BE!
Not made like they used to be! I have bought quite a few pairs of these same exact bibs over the years and added a pair every now and then. The last pair I received was around December; I washed them one time, and the stitching came out of the seat. They were replaced by Amazon returns. The new pair has lasted all of two months, maybe 4 times wearing them, and the right strap came apart. It looks like poor crimping on the endpoint where it is supposed to be secured. Looking at the left side, it isn’t far from breaking free as well. I’ve never had a problem with quality from Carhartt items until recently. I doubt I’m going to be buying anything further from them. I called in to the help line for Carhartt and was told to return to the retailer, and the retailer told me they have to cover it, so basically the runaround on both ends, so I just have to eat $100 on the purchase of clearly defective clothing.
