I got met one of those double edge Japanese blades and I realized they are good for precision cutting.These Dovetails, damn, they cut through wood like butter and clean.They cut much smoother and faster than the standard American Saw that I grew up with. Not hating on America - so shut it.Anyways, this is an awesome saw. It will work magnificently for your dovetail grooves

After browsing some reviews about the blade's fragility, I hesitated to buy this product but eventually took a chance. I'm not blown away by the handle design, it does look cheap, but after using the blade a couple of times now to cut through wood slats for a project, the blade quality makes up for it and has not chipped.

This is a good quality crosscut saw. If you are want to make rip or angle cuts you will need to buy other saws.

I have the Suizan rip saw that I use for dovetails and other joinery. It works so well that I decided to get the cross cut saw. I have a full compliment of western saws and find myself using the Suizan saws most often. The crosscut like the rip tracks well with a fine kerf and leaves a smooth finish right off the saw. It's hard to imagine how a more expensive saw could be any better.

My father used one of these in Kyoto years ago and he swears by them!

This was a purchase I should have made many years ago . It’s a different style of saw . It is made for specific purposes . This saw had a blade that needed to be sharpened a little more . Otherwise it’s a decent saw .

Great compact size for trim cut off work

Lost my woodshop years ago due to wifes illness. I still enjoy wood working on a limited basis but with the suizan pull saw i am able to cut fine cuts and even up to 2 by 10's with ease. Thanks suizan for making such a affordable saw that cuts amazing.every woodworker or tradesman should own this fantastic handsaw.

I know very, very little of woodworking. It was trying my hand on some left over pieces at home, and had a very tough time, when trying to cut something narrow, or trying to cut some space into an existing wood or cutting some undesired wood.Don't know why I purchased this saw, but it's very light, feather like, cuts very smoothly, with very little effort, as if cutting on it's own.PLEASE READ THE REVIEW AS FOR SUIZAN SAW HAVING THIS BLADE, AND NOT FOR REPLACEMENT BLADE.I have yet to use the replacement blade. I tender my apology for the unintended lapse.
