Keep my core I9 cool!
Overclocked core I9 never once have my attempts been anywhere over 60° C when stress testing.

Double check the block - decide on positioning
The media could not be loaded. This block is working great. Installed about 1 month ago and has been fine. The block idles at about 31c-34c and on load is about +10c. It's cooling an i9 13900KS overclocked on an ROG hero. Just pick your positioning before you go to town on setting it up.

Amazing Cooling Performance
Out of all of my water blocks, this one was the best out of them all keeping my 12900k at 30c-40c idle, and below 80c on heavy load. Also amazing RGB Effects

works wwith LGA and LGA 1851
Apparently from the EKWB site, this water block works with LGA 1700 as well as the new LGA 1851 CPU for the Z890 chitset boards. Will find out.

Used sold as “New”
I was very disappointed to find the packaging already opened. Upon inspection, there was residual clear coolant inside the water block. All the plastic had been removed and put back on. The thermal plate underneath looked like thermal paste was once applied and other items were missing out of the packaging.

It works well
With regard to: EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity 2 CPU Water Block D-RGB - 1700, Nickel/Plexi:Compared to an AIO, a custom loop will always be more difficult to install maintain than any other cooling solution and this cooling block is no exception. In particular this block is harder that most to install because the block fasteners are accessed from the bottom side of the mother board. You really need to have a reasonable torque wrench/driver to tighten the block properly. I used this from Amazon: "FIRSTINFO H5178 Precision Certified Torque Limiting Screwdriver" to tighten the fasteners. It's a good one. Consider the purchase price of this tool to be part of the cost of building a custom loop.Once installed, this block works quite well, better than any I've used in the recent past. I must mention that the thermostat in my home is set to 28C but even so, this block handily out-performs any AIO I've tried. In my case, the best AIO I tried was getting to 100C at a reported CPU power of 335+ watts with Cinebench R23 and OCCT Power stress test. With this cooler, said stress tests do not exceed 90C and in games, it is never more than about 65C and never exhibits any thermal/power throttling. So it is at least 10C better than all others I have tried. Also, the overall loop is very quiet; even at full load, it is barely audible. This is partly because with a custom loop you can use a much bigger radiator with larger, slower fans all of which is quite important for noise. The build quality of this block is quite good and is aesthetically pleasing though it uses D-RGB and many boards do not support D-RGB explicitly. My board, an Asus Rog Strix z790-E has connectors that might work but I didn't want to risk damaging the board to test this. I am not a fan of RGB so I just removed the strip entirely; it's easy to do, a good riddance and I didn't look back.I do recommend this block though you might want to consider a "Watercool HEATKILLER IV PRO CPU Water Block" which has equivalent or better performance and is actually a bit less expensive.

Oc to 5.8ghz- under 90* stress test 👌
Follow instructions and it'll work. First block to ever run +4 oc under 90c in ada 64.

Junk Product, Junk Customer Service, Buy ANY Other Waterblock Brand
Expensive waterblock purchased, temperatures only mildly improved over a cheap air cooler, so unhappy in the first place but stuck with it. The plexiglass cover broke after a year of use. EKWB took 1.5 months and 40EURO to send me the wrong part, even after including pictures and a thorough explanation, then gave up saying they just don't have any after all. I now have to buy a new waterblock since this is past return period. EKWB products are junk and their service is even worse after their manglement of their enterprise resources by their CEO. Don't bother buying, let these clowns continue going out of business. Go with PrimoChill, AlphaCool, or literally anyone else. You're better off burning your money with EKWB, just like their CEO does.
