Reliable, Smooth, and Grinder-Friendly—My Daily Driver for Over a Decade
After more than a decade of chasing the perfect espresso bean for my built-in Thermador machine, I keep circling back to this medium roast Lavazza like a caffeine-fueled homing pigeon. It all started with a search for a trustworthy subscribe-and-save bean—something that wouldn't break the bank or the grinder. I remembered Lavazza from my travels in Italy, where the coffee is good enough to make you question your life choices. So I figured, why not start with the classics? And honestly? It delivers. This medium roast might not be a show-off, but it punches well above its weight class. It’s smooth, balanced, and rich with chocolate notes and a smoky aroma that whispers, not shouts. Most importantly for me—and probably for anyone who’s ever had to pry out gunked-up beans from their grinder with a butter knife—this coffee runs dry and clean. Unlike the wetter beans from Starbucks, Kirkland, Peet’s, and Kicking Horse, these glide through my Thermador like they were made for each other.Sure, the Super Crema is a little more flavorful, but this one wins in the reliability department. And when you're under-caffeinated at 6 a.m., reliability is king. Or at least barista.Bottom line: for the price, flavor, and machine-friendliness, this medium roast Lavazza has earned a permanent slot in my pantry. It might not make me an espresso snob, but it sure keeps me a happy sipper.

Take the pepsi challenge , this is by far the best espresso bean for home brewers!
Im trying to get away from the costs associated with the Nespresso machine. My wife and I have become accustomed to the speed, reliability and taste of Nespresso but the price kept rising and had no intention of stopping. So I picked up a home espresso machine, one of the cheapy ones and this was my first bag of beans, Lavazza. We where immediately hooked. Not to say Nespresso tased bad, but this was soooo much better and the cost per cup was so much better as well. Flash forward about a month or so and we are in costco, we pickup a bag of Kirkland espresso beans and It was good, but now being the connoisseurs we are we could immediately tell the difference and now we are back to Lavazza. We dont care about the cost, it would take something out of this world to get us to switch.

Smooth, Aromatic, and Perfect for Daily Espresso
I’ve been on the hunt for a quality espresso bean that doesn’t break the bank, and this Lavazza blend has exceeded my expectations. The medium roast offers a delightful balance—rich and full-bodied without any bitterness. The aroma is inviting, with subtle floral and fruity notes that enhance the overall experience.Grinding the beans fresh each morning, I use them in my espresso machine, and the results are consistently impressive. The crema is thick and golden, and the flavor profile is smooth, making it a pleasure to drink either as a straight shot or in a latte. The 2.2 lb bag is a great value, ensuring I have a steady supply without frequent reordering. For anyone seeking a reliable, everyday espresso bean with authentic Italian quality, I highly recommend this Lavazza blend.

Great Flavor, Solid Choice for Everyday Espresso
Lavazza delivers a really smooth and flavorful espresso bean that’s become a regular in my coffee rotation. The aroma is rich, and the taste has a nice balance of boldness and smoothness—no bitterness, which I appreciate. It’s great for both straight espresso and milk-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos.I’m giving it 4 stars only because I wish the freshness lasted a bit longer after opening, even when stored properly. Still, it’s a great value for the quality and definitely better than a lot of other beans I’ve tried in this price range.A great everyday coffee for espresso lovers!

Consistently Great Espresso!
I’ve bought this Lavazza Espresso Whole Bean Coffee a couple of times now, and it’s been excellent every time. I mainly use it for espresso shots, and the flavor never disappoints. It’s smooth, rich, and has a really nice balanced taste — bold enough to be satisfying but without any harsh bitterness. Every shot pulls nicely with a good amount of crema, and the aroma from the beans is amazing the moment you start grinding. The medium roast brings out a natural sweetness and a clean finish that makes every cup enjoyable. It’s the kind of coffee that feels consistent bag after bag, which I really appreciate. The 2.2 lb size is a great deal too — you get plenty of high-quality beans that stay fresh if you store them properly.I’ve tried a few different brands, but I keep coming back to this one because of the quality and reliable flavor. If you’re looking for a solid espresso bean that you can count on, Lavazza is definitely worth picking up.

Really nice in an Aeropress
I use an Aeropress for all of my coffee making, which isn't a ton, and have tried a lot of different roasts. This massive bag was my first espresso roast and it's ideal. I mostly make Americanos and these beans brew up strong with a slight sweetness when I don't screw anything up. Sometimes I skip the water part of the recipe and just enjoy a very, very strong cup. Go-to beans in a big freakin' bag. Love 'em.
